Our Mission

Our mission is simple: “to assist students in higher education to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.” Our clients are intelligent and often highly motivated, but have an identifiable condition which puts them at a disadvantage compared with their colleagues.

A client may, for example, be a wheelchair user, or have partial sight, have a hearing impairment or be liable to depression, or have dyslexia. We also work with clients who have autism, ME, dyspraxia and mental health problems.

What such a client needs is a strategy (or set of strategies) for independent learning integrating assistive technology and study skills. Our consultants — all of whom are qualified and experienced teachers — stand beside clients and help them form strategies which work for them, as individuals.
