Manual Note Takers / Practical Assistants
The role of a Note Taker and Practical Assistant is to provide student-led support in order to help them access their learning and to engage with student life. Applicants must be a University graduate, have an understanding of disability and have Note Taking Skills.
Please note the rate Manual Note Takers in London can charge, will be in the region of £13.50 per hour.
We require applicants to demonstrate skills and experience of working with people with disabilities (e.g. Mental Health and Autistic Spectrum Disorders) in Higher Education &/or the workplace.
Qualified Communication Support Facilitators/Electronic Note Takers
You will hold professional qualifications and experience of working with people with disabilities, and knowledge of the Higher Education system &/or the workplace.
Specialist one to one Study Support Facilitators (SpLD)
You will need to be a qualified teacher with specialist qualifications in working with students with SpLD’s at Level 7 or above.
All Claro Learning Facilitators work on a self-employed basis and are responsible for their own tax and National Insurance in addition to holding adequate Public Liability Insurance cover and a recent Enhanced DBS Disclosure (Adult workforce).
